Over the past 5 years, the West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WA BiCC) program has worked to reduce deforestation, forest degradation and biodiversity loss in West Africa through partnering with local and international conservation-focused organizations and core regional partners such as the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Mano River Union (MRU). This work has largely been undertaken in WA BiCC’s “learning landscapes,” areas mapped out to focus intervention efforts.
