Grantee Report: Strengthening Climate Change Resilience in the Fresco Coastal Landscape

A total of 35,219 beneficiaries (48% of whom were women) benefited from a grant of US$30,000 (15,000,000 F CFA), which enabled 10 institutions (1 steering committee, 6 local risk management committees and 3 cooperatives) to establish start-ups and produce 6,000 shade plants for an additional 100 hectares of agroforestry. The program helped 3,292 beneficiaries (29% of whom were women) adapt to the effects of climate change, conducted mobilization and advocacy campaigns that reached 3,006 people (30% of whom were women), and provided training on adaptation to climate change for 87 people.
