In February 2018, the West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WA BiCC) program conducted a climate change vulnerability assessment (CCVA) in the Fresco area to document climate variability and climate projections impacting Fresco; assess how climate change and communities affect livelihoods and ecosystem services; and identify existing and potential adaptive responses to increase resilience. This brief illustrates how WA BiCC’s assessment approach in the Fresco coastal landscape contributed to recommendations for climate change adaptation and coastal management policy in Côte d’Ivoire.
