Sierra Leone’s Climate Change: A Briefing Note on Processes and Prospects for West Africa

To advance a practice-based policy for coastal Sierra Leone, WA BiCC, in close collaboration with the National Protected Area Authority (NPAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other relevant stakeholders, prepared a Climate Change Adaptation Plan (CCAP). The aim of the CCAP is to showcase how scientifically determined interventions complemented by local knowledge and practice contribute to making coastal ecosystems and communities across the Sierra Leone Coastal Landscape Complex (SLCLC) more resilient to stresses and shocks from climate change impacts and effects.
