The first West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WA BiCC) Semi-Annual covers the period between May and December 2015. The first Semi-Annual report for WA BiCC is responsive to the rapid start-up of the program and captures activities undertaken during the seventh month time period following contract award of the first year. As WA BiCC is designed to address both direct and indirect drivers of natural resource degradation and to improve livelihoods and natural ecosystems across West Africa, this report demonstrates work with local and implementing partners at the community, national and regional levels to strengthen policies and systems that make natural resource management possible as well as to improve the health and resilience of coastal and upland forest ecosystems.
